We got a notice from the township yesterday that we are to rake leaves to the curb, and the town trucks will be by this Monday to suck them up.
Has no one in the town hall noticed that the leaves are still on the trees?

Do you live in heaven? You don't have to bag leaves?
My township gives out leaf bags - and the office is open from 9 am - 4 pm M - F. Central Jersey has STILL not figured out that June Cleaver had to go back to work 30 years ago.
Queen - You can bag them, but if you do bag them you have to transport them yourself to the town mulch pile, dump them on, then take the bag back home. They seem to have some aversion to bags of all types. We get free garbage and recycle collection, street sweeping, leaf collection, and if you have anything large for trash or recycle (like a sofa), you can call and they will make a special trip to collect it. On the other hand, the taxes on my .1 acre lot and house is about $9K per year. Not exactly free.
Becs - Yeah, our township offices have hours like they're staffed by volunteers or something. They close at 2 for "summer hours".
